How to use it

Squeeze a coin-sized amount into your palm — the gel is completely clear — and rub your palms together until it turns watery.

Massage it into the oily areas: roots, part, crown and hairline. Brush through and let it air-dry, about 3–5 minutes for fine hair and 6–8 for thick hair. Nothing to rinse.

What’s inside

A clear leave-in gel with rice protein, keratin and a botanical oil-control complex. Silicone-free and talc-free, with a subtle, light floral scent.

Each tube holds 80 g (2.82 oz). See the tube for the full ingredient list.

Good to know

Made for straight, wavy and curly hair, fine or thick. It’s mild enough for color-treated or permed hair and won’t strip your color or undo your style.

If your scalp is sensitive, patch-test a small area first. Keep away from the eyes and close the cap after use.

For day-3 hair

No time to wash? Your roots won’t tell.

Washing and blow-drying takes a good 30 minutes — and you never have them right after the gym, before graduation photos or ten minutes before everyone arrives. So you grab the white powder spray and spend the day hoping it doesn’t show.

This is the clear way to do it. Rub a drop of gel between your palms until it turns to water, massage it into your roots, and it takes the oil with it as it dries. Brush through: your hair looks clean, full and fresh, like you just stepped out of the shower.

No aiming, no shaking, no white cast — and no 30-minute wash.

It’s a leave-in gel: nothing to rinse and nothing to blow-dry.

“Doesn’t it look like I just washed and blow-dried it?”

Day 3 without washing — and one drop of clear gel

Soft volume, not stiff powder

Clean-looking roots, hair that still moves

Powder dry shampoo soaks up oil with a layer of powder that stays in your hair — that’s why it can feel stiff and gritty, and look a little gray on dark hair.

The clear gel soaks up the oil at your roots, then disappears. With rice protein and keratin, strands stay soft and smooth, so your hair looks lifted, shiny and airy — not coated.

It’s mild enough for color-treated or permed hair: it won’t strip your color or undo your style.

Frequently asked questions

Will it leave a white cast on dark hair?

No. The gel is 100% clear and turns watery as you rub it in, so there’s no powder to show up on dark hair, in photos or on your clothes.

Do I need to rinse it out?

No, it’s a leave-in gel. Massage it into your roots, brush through and let it air-dry: about 3–5 minutes for fine hair and 6–8 minutes for thick hair.

Does it leave hair sticky or wet-looking?

No. It feels like water going on, then air-dries to soft, airy, clean-looking hair — not sticky, not stiff.

How much should I use?

A coin-sized amount for your roots, part, crown and hairline. Focus on the spots where oil shows first.

Can I use it on curly or color-treated hair?

Yes. It works on straight, wavy and curly hair, and it’s mild enough for color-treated or permed hair — it won’t strip your color or undo your style.

Is it OK for a sensitive scalp?

The formula is mild, silicone-free and talc-free. As with any new product, patch-test a small area first and stop if you feel any discomfort. Keep it away from the eyes.

What does it smell like?

A subtle, light floral scent — not heavy and not sharp.

How big is the tube?

Each tube holds 80 g (2.82 oz) and fits easily in a gym bag or purse.

Day-3 hair. Freshly washed look.

One clear drop, a few seconds, zero white residue.

Completely clear gel, and it feels way lighter than it looks once it's spread across my palms. Worked it into my part before an early shift and there wasn't a speck of white anywhere.

second tube

Second tube now, it's how I get through my no-wash workdays. The gel comes out totally clear, turns watery in your palms, and leaves nothing behind once dry.

G
Grace Li

Wasn't expecting the gel to be totally see-through, it looks like nothing is in your hand. Rubs in clear and stays clear on my black hair.

J
Joanne Sato

A coin-size dab covers my whole part and crown on fine hair. Clear going on, clear when it dries, and easy to control how much comes out of the tube.

N
Neha Joshi

Totally clear gel, and with the squeeze tube I only get out what I need. It spreads through my roots after the gym without leaving anything white behind.

S
Sophia Huang

Looks like regular clear hair gel but it doesn't act like it at all. After the gym it dries down soft and doesn't leave that shiny product look.

M
Molly Durham
easy to use

Easy squeeze tube and a coin size amount is plenty for my roots on busy mornings. The gel is totally clear with a light floral smell, nothing heavy.

Isabel Jimenez
Clear gel, no residue

Clear as water coming out of the tube, with just a hint of floral. It spreads easily through my roots after my runs and I've never seen any white bits once it dries. Shipping took around two weeks, otherwise it'd be five stars.

L
Leticia Zamora
love the clear gel

Squeeze out a little blob and it looks just like clear hair gel, which had me nervous. The second you rub your palms together it goes runny like water and spreads so easily. No gunk, no white, no stiff roots after.

J
Jenny Lin

The gel is crystal clear and a small squeeze covers my part and hairline. It goes almost like water between your palms and leaves nothing on my dark hair. Giving 4 for now since I've only had it a week.

N
Natalie Kline
clear means clear

I figured the clear thing was a gimmick but the gel really has no color at all, and a few seconds of rubbing thins it out until it's barely there on your palms. It disappears into your roots and there's nothing gritty left behind. I use it on the days I go from the gym straight to my shift.

Brianna Price
Clear as water

Love that it comes out COMPLETELY clear and turns almost like water when you rub it in your hands. It disappears into my black hair, no chalky patches anywhere. Kinda fun to use honestly!

Clear and easy to use

The gel comes out clear and turns almost like water once you rub your palms together. Massage it into the roots, brush it through, and that's it, which is about all the time I get before school drop-off. It takes a few minutes to air dry so I went with four stars, but there's no residue at all.

A
Andrea Bautista
Clear gel, no residue

The gel is completely clear, so the first morning I used it before work I wasn't sure it would do anything. You rub it between your palms until it goes watery and then work it into the roots. Nothing sticky or crunchy after it dries, just soft.

S
Stephanie Park
clear gel, clear roots

Really surprised at how thin the gel gets once you rub it in your palms, almost like water. It vanished into my dark hair without a trace.

Second tube

On my second tube already. The gel is totally clear coming out, which is exactly why I trust it on my black hair.

M
Mei Tanaka
Clear as water

The gel comes out totally clear, looks like nothing sitting in your palm. Rub your hands together for a few seconds and it turns thin and watery, then it just disappears into the roots. Smells lightly floral, nothing heavy.

S
Sunita Singh
easy to use

Squeeze, rub your palms together until it goes watery, then work it in with your fingertips. It stays clear the whole time so there's no white to blend in. Light floral smell and my hands don't feel sticky afterward.

didn't mess up my perm

Last month I got a perm and was scared anything would loosen it, but this doesn't mess with the curl at all. I use it at the roots on day three between class and my shift at the campus bookstore. Honestly surprised how normal my hair looks after.

so much faster

Went from a 40 minute wash and blow dry to about 5 minutes on busy days. My mornings are SO much calmer now.

M
Maureen Thibodeau

Genuinely surprised by this one. My hair is fine and the colour is a warm brown I pay good money for, and I didn't notice any dullness or fading after a month of using it. Kept my roots from going flat through a long weekend at the cottage too.

L
Linh Nguyen
didn't expect this

Did NOT think a clear gel could soak up oil on hair as thick as mine. I rubbed it between my palms til it went watery, worked it into my crown and part, then brushed it through. Once it dried my roots felt clean and there was zero crunch.

J
Janet Schultz

I was sure a gel would leave my roots stiff or shiny, which is the last thing fine hair needs. It's neither, it just feels like clean hair with a little more body. I color mine every six weeks and it hasn't faded anything as far as I can tell.

lab then date night

Had a lab until 5 and a date at 6 and i was panicking about my hair. My roots looked clean, my hair had some volume, and it smelled a little floral which was cute. Definitely keeping one in my backpack from now on.

worth keeping by the sink

Sunday mornings with three kids are a scramble, getting everyone dressed for church means my hair comes last. I keep this by the sink, a coin size on the roots and a quick brush, and it's dry before I've finished my daughter's braids. Simple and it works.

for work weeks

Picked up the Maneele dry shampoo gel for work weeks when I can't wash. Rub it in, brush, give it five minutes, done.

sent one to my daughter

My daughter's away at uni and has thick dark curls, and she was forever moaning that dry shampoo made her look like she'd been in a flour fight. Sent her this in a care package and she's already asked for another. She says it's quick and nothing shows. Her dyed colour hasn't budged either.
